The international Participant and Public Involvement (PPI) group met virtually on 29 May, bringing together individuals who have experience caring for and working with people living with dementia to discuss the Homeside study going forward.

Members expressed their enthusiasm for the switch to online delivery of the study in light of restrictions due to COVID-19, providing invaluable insights for making this experience as useful and comfortable for people living with dementia and their informal caregivers participating in the study.

Country representatives also provided updates regarding their transitions to online delivery of the study as well as recruitment activities that have been taking place across the UK, Australia, Poland, Norway and Germany. The next meeting will take place in September, ahead of the next large international meeting with the whole research team. The international and country-specific PPI groups are always looking for people with lived experience of dementia to be involved in this aspect of informing the research process, so if you are interested please do get in touch with the local research team.
