Tom Serby

LLM Course Leader gives thoughts on match-fixing

On 19 January 2016, Tom Serby, researcher in sports law, gave interviews to BBC Radio Kent, and BBC Three counties. He was questioned on the breaking news report following an investigation by the BBC into allegations of match fixing in tennis.

Tom’s view is that undoubtedly match-fixing is on the increase in many sports, as evidenced by a series of bans for athletes, sometimes for life, as a result of concluded investigations by among other others Interpol and various sports’ so-called Integrity units.
