Senior Lecturer in Law appears on BBC's 'Look East'

On 16 August 2016, Leonardo Valladares Pacheco de Oliveira, Senior Lecturer at Anglia Law School, appeared on the BBC evening news programme Look East.

He was part of the segment reporting breaking news regarding the arrest of Marcus Evans, owner of Ipswich Town FC, for ticket touting during the 2016 Rio Olympic Games.

Speaking about the high-profile arrest, Leonardo explained:

"Selling or providing tickets for sports events with a price higher than the one printed on the ticket is considered a crime in Brazil, punished with two to four years in prison. This type of arrest is not a new phenomenon in Brazil as the law making touting a crime was enacted in 2010."
