Since I went to an Open Day, I knew ARU was the university I wanted to go to. I loved the sense of community, the accommodation, and Cambridge itself.
I was really excited to apply to study English literature. When I got an email through saying I had been given an unconditional offer, I was overjoyed.
I was with my nan at the time, and I remember I burst into tears when I told her. I was so relieved that I had gotten a place at university and into my first choice as well. I told all my family and friends, as I was so proud to be going to ARU.
I remember thinking that all of my hard work at college had paid off, because now I was going to the university I wanted to go to, and didn’t even need to worry about getting certain grades at A level. This took a huge pressure off my shoulders.
Then I started thinking about moving in, and what I would need to take. I was so excited to be going to ARU in Cambridge and start my degree. Two years later, I know I definitely made the right choice.
