Course: BA (Hons) Social Policy

Hi, I’m Catherine. I’m 23 years old and study Social Policy at the Cambridge campus. I am originally from Cambridge and currently live with my parents, two younger brothers and two cats. I have really enjoy my course and I hope to work for a charity or NGO in the future.

In my spare time I volunteer at Jimmy’s Night Shelter, which I’ve been doing for about 18 months. I also enjoy reading, watching crime dramas and Twitter (I’m @catherineaford).

I love to travel and have been to Australia, New Zealand, Finland, and Russia, among others.

I took part in the Erasmus+ programme in my second year and studied in Sweden for a semester. I am hoping to go back and complete my Masters course there after I graduate from ARU. I’m interested in blogging about my course, my Erasmus+ experience and volunteering, along with social policy careers and the EU headquarters trip to Brussels I went on.
