BSc (Hons) Mental Health Nursing
My name is Betty Mavhunga, I am a mature student studying Mental Health Nursing. I am from Zimbabwe and have been living in United Kingdom since 2000. I am currently living in the nurse’s accommodation at Addenbrooke’s Hospital in Cambridge. I am a mother of two boys aged 16 and 13 who are still living in Zimbabwe with my mother. I am blessed to have the mother that I have, as she has looked after my children since I came to this country. It has been very challenging for me, to be far away from home, friends and family. My mother is 70 years old but she tells me that she feels like she is 21 and has a strong character. Maybe that’s where I got the strong attitude from.
