Faculty:Health, Education, Medicine and Social Care

School:School of Nursing and Midwifery

Course: BSc (Hons) Adult Nursing

I’m Aisha, a final year mature student currently studying BSc (Hons) Adult Nursing in Chelmsford. I must admit that I am not particularly great at using social media and as a consequence, writing a blog is not what I’d ever have pictured myself doing. However, this year has been particularly great and I now realise that despite the challenges, there is a whole lot to gain by being bold and sharing to move things forward.

I have been a student ambassador, a National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) student champion and voted in as course representative for three consecutive years – as well as faculty rep in my final year. I am dedicated to the work I do and know there is much more to learn. I am proactive and have availed myself for every opportunity that can help my patients and community (local, national or global). My nursing and midwifery skills have also played an immense part in my personal growth and had an impact in my work in the university.

The things I enjoy most are swimming, dancing (not that well!), music and art, amongst a myriad of other activities.
