The Modern Humanities Research Association has announced several funding options for researchers.

Conference Grant Fund: Grants of up to £1,500 are available and the deadline for application is 30 June 2017.

The funding will support "conferences or colloquia within the field of medieval and modern European languages and literatures, including English." The awards are not travel grants, ie do not enable attendance at conferences, but provide organisational costs. More information and the application form are available on the call page.

Research Scholarship in the Modern European Languages: Researchers in their early postdoctoral career stage "who are revising their theses for publication, but who have not yet obtained a full-time academic post". Awards of £11,500 are available to support the researcher as they progress towards publication. They are expected to produce "a manuscript of publishable quality or a minimum of three articles of publishable quality" during their single year of funding. Closing date for application will be in April 2018, but we advise early planning for this award.
