The Netherlands Institute for Advanced Study in the Humanities and Social Sciences (NIAS) is currently advertising a fellowship opportunity open to non-Dutch researchers.
Fellows may apply for one or two semesters of research at the Institute, and would receive some payment, including 'subsidised accommodation (see also What NIAS offers), lunches, a personal study, research facilities, one international return ticket.
Some guidance on how to apply is available, but we recommend that interested social scientists or humanities scholars look into the work funded by the Institute and target their application towards priority fields. Applicants must have at least three years of post-doctoral experience, and have made a contribution to their field:
"Applications are primarily evaluated on the basis of scientific quality, innovative character and originality. Scholarly achievements, grants, awards and publication record are also taken into consideration in the selection process.
In order to establish a diverse and coherent research group, additional elements that are taken into consideration include the spread across disciplinary backgrounds, gender, age, geographical origin and the availability of housing facilities."
This is clearly a prestigious and exciting fellowship opportunity, and a chance to boost your network, CV and impact!
