The Arts and Humanities Research Council (AHRC) has extended the deadline for its current highlight notice in Research Networking. The deadline has been altered from 28/02/17 to 25/04/17.

This highlight encourages applications in specific fields to the standard funding mode of AHRC, that is to say that this does not represent a standalone call, but rather that applications in relevant areas will receive particular attention in assessment, and a score uplift where possible. The areas listed in this highlight notice are broad and wide-ranging. Examples are provided in the call documentation, and provide insight into the breadth of potential applications. Interdisciplinary proposals are encouraged, and fields mentioned in the text range from creative arts, to issues affecting women and girls, to sustainable development.

The AHRC says:

"This highlight notice is intended to encourage the development of research networking proposals which explore the contribution that arts and humanities research can make to challenges, policy and/or practice relating to international development.

It also seeks to support the development of sustained international boundary crossing collaborations with Low and Middle Income Countries (LMICs) which receive Official Development Assistance (ODA) (details are in the Highlight Notice Document) and/or with organisations which play an important role in supporting international development."

There's plenty of time left to apply, so go and put those partnerships together!
