Sebastian Walker prize

This award is run by Walker Books in collaboration with our MA Children’s Book Illustration course.

Created in 2011 to mark the 20th anniversary of the death of Sebastian Walker, founder of Walker Books, the award is presented annually to the most promising graduate of the course, with the publisher considering their MA project on a first option basis.

The 2025 winner was Vannysha Chang (pictured), with Diksha Pawaskar and Naomi Tipping highly recommended.
