Jo and Kezia are New Designers to watch out for
Cambridge School of Art students bag prizes at major student trade show
Congratulations to Jo Pinto (BA Illustration and Animation) and Kezia Hulse (BA Illustration), who have both won prizes at this year's New Designers exhibition in London.
Kezia's National Trust Spring Walks posters earned her the Mollie Makes Associate Prize, given to an illustrator that shows '…originality and has a distinctive, memorable style'. The judges said "We love her distinctive style and creativity and the level of detail and thought that goes into her designs. She has taken the collage aspect to the next level and we can see so many applications for it, from editorial pieces and prints to cards and books. We can’t wait to work with her."
Meanwhile Jo (pictured) took the Screening Room Prize for her short film Jacinta, which the judges described as having "beautifully paced, great composition, great 'mis-en-scene', fresh approach and unusually striking."
Every year, New Designers presents the work of hand-picked graduating design students from all over the country. It is one of the most important dates on the calendar for our students, giving them an opportunity to show their work to prospective clients and employers.
