Workshops take place in the Open Studio channel of our Ruskin Modules MS Teams site
Inspired by bell hooks' ideas on transgressing pedagogies, this session is all about possibilities and potential. Ruskin Modules are the opportunity to test new ideas, to experiment together and face the ambiguity of wicked problems. Here we will share some transgressive pedagogies, innovative approaches and imaginative proposals for this "new education".

Although it is well known that creativity and innovation are key parts of processes of curriculum design, creativity remains a “mystery” only revealed to some few. Notwithstanding creativity is a natural skill of human beings, and as educators we are all the time being creative: from planning the flow of the learning journey, to honing our skills as performers in our lectures, amongst many other creative activities.
In the Ruskin Modules Open Studios series, Dr. Beatriz Acevedo, academic developer for Ruskin Modules (aka: CreatiBeOracle, National Teaching Fellow, 2020) will take you to her actual Art Studio, a space for mess and experimentation. This is serious play in a safe space, where participants slowly and safely acquire specific creative tools, while developing aspects of their Ruskin Modules, or any other L&T endeavour. Treat yourself with a joyful and practical time at the Studio!
