ARU is developing better end to end management of assessments, improving both the student experience and the administrative burden that faculties have supported for some time. This work includes making it possible to create different types of assignment in Canvas based on need, automatically providing students with assessment related information in their Canvas assignment, managing Components from ASTRA, ensuring that students have their own Due Dates in ASTRA for event based assessments (called Scheduled Activities), and managing extensions and reassessment dates directly from ASTRA.
To ensure that this is made possible, we are changing the way we collect and manage information needed for assessment tasks. We need to store some information about the assessments in ASTRA so that ASTRA can drive the administration. ARU’s IT Department have developed an e:Vision Task for Module Leaders to use – this replaces the existing data collection process in use (largely referred to as the Masterclass Information Form). By selecting a few simple options, the Module Leader can tell ASTRA what is needed in Canvas. The eVision Task will also be used by Module Leaders to add and manage module assessment student Due Dates in ASTRA.
This webinar is in addition to the CPD videos that will be provided (which you may feel are sufficient for your needs). It will provide an opportunity to be shown the eVision Task and ask any questions about completing it.
