Open to all colleagues committed to exploring active learning, and developing and sharing good practice.
This meeting will focus on:
Active learning: a matter of playing with scenarios, cases and problems?
In this session, we will attempt to compare and make sense of a range of active learning theoretical models. Have you heard of, or do you use, any of these: Scenario-based, Case-based, Decision-based, E/Inquiry-based, Problem-based, Project-based, Simulation-based learning? Any others?
What are they? What do they have in common? How useful are they? Are some more important to some disciplines?
We will consider whether it would be useful to focus in on any of these ideas and develop them as a group in the future.
It takes place in Teams as usual.
