The English language is pressed into service in several different ways. Tabloid articles, marketing press releases, and legal documents, to name but a few, all require very specific styles of writing, and Academic English is no different. Academic journal articles, in particular, use language in particular ways, often based on explicit rules concerning style, grammar, and punctuation.
This workshop, with Dr Simon Pratt-Adams and Dr Mark Warnes, will introduce many of the rules of academic writing, to help prepare you to draft articles in the manner expected by journal editors and improve your chances of publication.
