Leaders in Learning and Teaching (LiLT)

Leaders in Learning and Teaching (LiLT) is an active community made up of senior and principal fellows of the HEA, University Fellows and holders of the new Anglia Ruskin University Teaching Fellowships and Associate Teaching Fellowships.

Purpose of LiLT

The LiLT community seeks to:

  • Build a community of expertise in learning and teaching.
  • Raise the profile and status of teaching and learning.
  • Shape strategy and the institutional direction of learning and teaching.
  • Facilitate the sharing of good teaching and learning practice.
  • Provide networking and development opportunities for committed teachers in HE.
  • Focus on specific issues or themes of importance to our university.
  • Influence the discipline and government policies.

Community events

Every year between February and June, each faculty will organise, promote, host and evaluate a learning and teaching development event on a theme related to one of the above key community purposes. Details of upcoming events will be shown below.

Development opportunities

Selected members of the community will also benefit from a one-year membership of the Society for Research into Higher Education, which offers developmental opportunities.

Contact your faculty director of learning and teaching for further information on LiLT.
