Background

Simon is the Director of the Centre of Innovation in Higher Education and Associate Professor in Academic Development at Anglia Ruskin University, Cambridge, UK. A published academic with research interests that include Pedagogic Research, Urban Education and Primary Education. Principal Fellow of the Higher Education Academy with an excellent understanding of teaching, learning and research within HE and school sectors. 

A people and task-oriented leader with the ability to achieve under pressure and identify, set, and deliver to deadlines. Worked in senior leadership and management positions as Deputy Dean with responsibility for international developments and external income, Head of Education, Head of Teacher Education and Director of Research. Committed to and experienced in educational quality and UK and international partnership working ensuring the highest staff/student experience. Consultant, external examiner, and validation assessor and works with external stakeholders including Advance HE, Society of Research in Higher Education and Ofsted.
