The AI for Entrepreneurs and Freelancers programme is a practical series of webinars. It takes you from understanding the AI landscape to building practical AI tools and agents that support your business.

Designed for entrepreneurs and freelancers at different stages of their journey, the programme focuses on practical, cost conscious ways to use AI. You’ll explore how AI can strengthen your brand, support business development, improve productivity, and help you achieve your professional goals.

What you’ll learn

Through tutor-led webinars, practical demonstrations, guided activities, and real-world business examples, you’ll discover how entrepreneurs and freelancers can use AI effectively across their work.

You’ll cover key areas including:

• understanding the AI landscape and setting clear goals for the programme
• assessing your business needs and creating a personalised, cost-effective AI tech stack
• using AI to refine your brand, tone of voice, marketing materials, and online presence
• applying AI to market research, lead generation, and identifying potential clients or customers
• creating effective outreach messages, proposals, follow-ups, and reusable communication templates
• exploring affordable local language models and understanding when to use local or cloud-based AI tools
• building custom AI agents and assistants to support specific tasks within your business
• developing practical resources and workflows that can be used beyond the programme.

Hands-on experience with AI tools

Throughout the programme, you’ll apply what you learn directly to your own business, freelance work, or professional goals. You’ll develop a personalised AI tech stack, refine brand assets, identify potential clients or customers, create an outreach strategy, test a local language model, and build an AI agent for a specific business function.

By the end of the programme, you’ll have practical resources and AI-supported workflows that can help you work more efficiently, develop new opportunities, and grow your venture.

Students currently on a Student Route visa sponsored by ARU must continue to follow UKVI rules and requirements for their visa. We are aware that students on this visa are not permitted to undertake self-employment. Therefore, this guidance is intended for students who may wish to explore or switch to a visa route that allows self-employment after completing their studies.
