A call has been created under the Newton Fund by Research Councils UK and the Administrative Department of Science, Technology and Innovation of Colombia (Colciencias).

This call is built around three themes, all relevant to the present transition of Colombia to a peaceful nation. The themes are:

  • participation and inclusion,
  • working towards reconciliation, and
  • education for peacebuilding.

Research projects should fit the Official Development Asssitance guidance (ODA), therefore the primary outputs of any project should benefit Colombia. The guidance for this call goes further: your project must be directly relevant to one or more of the '170 municipalities targeted under the Development Programs with a Regional Focus (PDET) in particular.'

In order to apply for this call you should have one ore more partners in Colombia, and your consortium can include stakeholders from the public sector or from civil society. Information is available through the call page on how to use available tools to find potential partners for the call.

The deadline for applications to this call is 4pm on Thursday 30 November 2017.
