In May 2017, our first year BA (Hons) Performing Arts students took part in a production of Chicago, the popular American musical by Kander, End and Fosse.
Staged on campus at our Mumford Theatre, this performance was the result of a twelve week musical theatre exploration with director and Lecturer in Performing Arts Alejandro Postigo. The students participated in a fully multidisciplinary way, preparing solo and choral songs, choreographic numbers and costumes, as well as the dramatic action itself.
Chicago was an assessed, non-public performance, and part of the Performing Arts course’s first year of study.
