Anglia Ruskin Lecturer invited to run session on Carl Nielsen
Anglia Ruskin Music Lecturer Dr Christopher Tarrant has been invited to take part as a guest tutor at a Society for Music Analysis workshop in April 2017.
The workshop, which also features Emeritus Professor William Drabkin of the University of Southampton, will take place at Middlesex University, and focus on the theme: ‘The Intersections between Schenker and Philosophy’.
Christopher will run a session on the viability and narrative / hermeneutic implications of a Schenkerian approach to the music of the Danish composer Carl Nielsen (1865-1931).
You can also hear Christopher speak on Carl Nielsen’s Sinfonia Semplice as part of our own MPA research lecture series in April 2017.
