Students on our MA Graphic Design and Typography course focus on building their graphic design practice and exploring and developing their role as visual designers and creatives, addressing issues including integration and diversity, behavioural change, community cohesion, and environmental challenges.
By a combination of advancing their visual practice in areas that are important for design, and extending their knowledge of the complexities of socio-environmental problems, design methods, and collaboration processes, they leave the course equipped for professional employment or self-employment in graphic design and design consultancy, as well as related fields like brand development, art-editorial design, publishing, typography/typesetting, advertising, media design, creative consultancy, and creative practitioners in institutional / organisational change-making teams.
