If you're taking part in an exchange programme, you'll typically study abroad for a trimester during your second year. But we recommend that you start planning early in your first term at ARU.
Applications will be due at the beginning of the second term for all Erasmus+ and international exchange opportunities the following year. So if you start at ARU in September 2020, applications will be due in January 2021.

There are a limited number of places available at each of our Erasmus+ and international exchange partners. Depending on the number of applications received for each partner, it may be a competitive selection process, but we encourage all students to apply.
To be eligible it is vital that you maintain good academic standing; specific requirements vary by university partner. All students will be notified of the outcome of their application, whether successful or not, by the end of March for students applying by the priority deadline and by the end of April for those applying by the final deadline. You may be offered a place on the waiting list for your selected partner university, or you may be provided with study options at alternate partners depending on availability.
The deadline for the next round of applications (for studies abroad during 2021/22) is 31 January 2021. If your application is successful, you'll need to complete the following.
