WNBL Division One familiar faces, Lisa Greenaway and Courtney Gray will feature as key members of the new-look ARU women's basketball roster as the team prepares for their opening fixture this weekend.
Greenaway has played for numerous clubs, most recently including Barking Abbey London Lions II, Team Birmingham Elite in WNBL Division One and the Nottingham Wildcats in the WBBL.
The veteran guard averaged 9.7 points per game, shooting 32.5% from three point range last season whilst she played for the Barking Abbey London Lions team in WNBL Division One.
Former Thames Valley Cavalier player Courtney Gray will look to provide experience and stability into the Rhino's frontcourt having averaged 6.0 points and 4.7 rebounds per game last season. The 2018-19 WNBL Division Two South Conference Player of the Year commented on her signing: "I’m excited that I have the opportunity to play with such a great team. I’m really happy to be back on the court and I look forward to the season ahead."
Head Coach Jacob Lloyd commented: "Courtney and Lisa have both been great additions to the roster in preseason. Lisa’s ability to make her teammates better, and her obvious leadership, are going to be crucial in helping us move forward as a programme. Courtney also offers us leadership but gives us a different type of player which was needed on our roster. She is an incredibly underrated pick-up for us and I'm sure she’ll play a key role on our team."
