Explore the latest developments in sports research with our free event in Cambridge.

Our Department of Sports and Exercise Sciences is hosting a free, half-day CPD event for sports teachers and leaders working in secondary schools and colleges in the East of England.

Join us in Cambridge on 14 June 2017, for an update on recent developments and research in sports. Plus, get hands-on experience in our dedicated sports labs.

With our sports science courses recently named 3rd for teaching quality and 4th in the UK for student satisfaction*, and attracting 100% student satisfaction rates**, we wanted to show you what's helped us achieve such great results.


  • 12.30pm - Introduction and talk from our Department of Sports and Exercise Sciences
  • 1-2pm - Session 1: Blood lactate (in our sports lab)
  • 2-3pm - Session 2: Emotion regulation to improve performance
  • 3-4pm - Session 3: The importance of nutrition to improve sport performance
  • 4-5pm - Networking.
