Next steps and contact details

If you're taking part in an exchange programme, you'll study abroad for a trimester during your second year (Level 5). But we recommend that you start planning early in your first term at ARU.

Find out more about exchange programmes

If you'd like more information about ARU Global Experience programmes:

  • attend a study abroad information session in Cambridge, Chelmsford or Peterborough (current students can find details on MyARU – login required)
  • get in touch with us (see contact details below)
  • speak with your course leader about options available for your course
  • submit an application. You can submit an application via MyARU during your first trimester of study at ARU if your course includes the option to study abroad.

Making your application

Once you've decided on a provisional destination, simply complete an ARU Global application form.

Study abroad applications will be due as follows for all European and international exchange opportunities the following year:

  • If you are a September intake student: at the beginning of your second trimester of your first year (February 2024).
  • If you are a January intake student: at the beginning of your second year (February 2024).

The application deadline for the exchange programme for the 2024-25 academic year is 29 February 2024.
