The Cost of Attendance (CoA) is the amount of money per academic year that a student needs to pay their tuition fees, accommodation expenses and transportation expenses.
We have to adhere to US regulations, which state that the maximum you can receive in loans cannot exceed the yearly cost of attendance less any other financial aid you may be receiving.
EFC = Estimated Financial Contribution which is on your Student Aid Report
EFA=Estimated Financial Assistance which is on your offer letter with Anglia Ruskin University
The following formulas are used to calculate loan entitlements:
Direct Subsidized Loan eligibility (undergraduates only) |
= CoA - (EFC + EFA)* |
Direct Unsubsidized Loan eligibility | = CoA - EFA (inc. Direct Subsidized Loan)* |
Direct Plus Loan eligibility |
= CoA - EFA (inc. Direct Subsidized, Unsubsidized and any other expected funding) |
