Wiggles and Jiggles is a music and movement group for babies aged 12 weeks – pre-crawling. Facilitated by our alumni in music therapy Amelia Clapman, this group aims to develop healthy relationships between parents and their babies and encourage a deeper bond using live music making.
The structured session uses movement and music activities to promote cognitive development for the babies and also positive mental health for parents.
Amelia uses a multi-sensory approach to engage children by introducing them to new sounds and instruments. Wiggles and Jiggles are passionate about the use of music in early intervention as it has so many positive impacts on babies' development and allows them to further explore the benefits of music as they grow up.
All our sessions are client focused and run by fully qualified, HCPC-registered music therapists.
"I loved having the guidance of people who really understand music (as I definitely do not) and could share something as beautiful as live piano with my daughter. I don’t know where else she would have had an opportunity to explore a cello at 20 weeks of age!! I really enjoyed the balance of songs where we sang as a group (good for me as well as her) and then the more individual parts too such as bubbles or 1:1 time with an instrument."
