ARU lecturer Tom Stacey and Artisan Electrics' Jordan Farley give a critique of the electric vehicle (EV) charging landscape in the UK.

The Government has invested millions over the last ten years subsidising chargers for homes and workplaces, but is it used wisely or effectively? Tom states that ‘unused chargers with incompatible plugs, and poorly installed units are damaging to our charging infrastructure’.

As we enter an era of the energy crisis, Tom and Jordan discuss if we can effectively replace the infrastructure with one that is fit for purpose, whilst simultaneous managing a huge shortage of skills in the green industry.

There are lots of other exciting events happening during the Chelmsford Science Festival, which runs 12-18 October. Take a look at the full programme and book your free tickets today.
