How can citizens get involved in social sciences research?

Drop in and meet our Participatory Research Group whose projects encompass a wide variety of fields such as bullying, palliative and end of life care, women with complex needs and young women and anxiety.

Participatory Research is a methodological approach that involves citizens in all stages of the research process from defining the research questions, designing the research, collecting and analysing the data to publicising and presenting research results.

Involving people with lived experience in research deepens our understanding and knowledge about complex issues that goes beyond what is often found in traditional academic research. People with lived experience bring unique insights to the research and gain valuable and transferable skills that they can use in their everyday life and work.
