Course: BA (Hons) Sociology
My name is Amy and I’m a 2nd year student at ARU studying sociology. I moved to Cambridge for the student experience and haven’t looked back since – I love it here! I used to live in a small village in Norfolk, so moving to a city was a big change, but I love where I live.
Studying sociology at ARU has been fantastic so far. The modules vary from criminology to gender to education, so we are always learning something different, which is great. The lectures are interesting and always contain new theories and concepts to learn which keeps the course fresh and never boring.
The city life that Cambridge has to offer is fast-paced and vibrant, and there is so much to do. When I take a break from my studies I love to walk around the city looking at the various parks, or even do a bit of shopping in one of the two centres here in central Cambridge.
