Hey! I’m Ali and I’m a first year Child Nursing student in Cambridge. My time in Cambridge so far has been split between theory lectures and skills sessions and learning in practice with a registered nurse in Addenbrookes Hospital.
My first placement consisted of 8 enriching weeks on a children’s regional Oncology and Haematology ward. I learnt so much on this placement and although there were some emotionally testing times, one thing that I realised is how much of a right choice I made choosing ARU as my place to study, but above all how much I dedicate myself to making sure I can provide excellent care to my patients and their families.
