Hi! My name is Vanessa and I am 19 years old. I am a 1st year Paramedic student with the London Ambulance Service, studying BSc (Hons) Paramedic Science at the ARU Chelmsford campus.
I moved to Chelmsford from ‘up north’ just outside of Durham, where I have lived all of my life! Since as young as I can remember, I have loved to dance, including ballet, tap, contemporary and street, in which I have performed several times in the West End of London, and I am a keen skier too! In my spare time at university, my friends and I enjoy training once a week for netball, alongside working for the ARU Employment Bureau as a Student Ambassador.

I was a nervous wreck turning up to Islington Ambulance Station at the beginning of my placement. I was introduced to my mentor and crew mate (I had absolutely no reason to be scared as they are lovely) and given a quick tour of the station and ambulances. Read more…
