Hi. My name is Maddy Redmond. I am thrilled to have recently joined Anglia Ruskin University (ARU) as a full-time PhD student. I am based in both the Faculty of Health, Education, Medicine and Social Care and Anglia Learning and Teaching. The focus of my research is learning gain and, specifically, the use of learning analytics data to observe online student learning patterns with the aim of informing course evaluation.
My interest in this doctoral research topic comes from my background in higher education. I have previously worked as a lecturer and been involved in delivering online and blended education. This triggered my interest in technology enhanced learning and learning analytics. I have also been involved in course design and re-design. I am looking forward to undertaking a research project which has the potential to benefit academic staff and students at ARU and beyond.
