Dr Jaki Lilly

Hi, I'm Jaki Lilly and I am the Academic Lead: Academic and Professional Development at Anglia Learning & Teaching. My role is to support and promote the development of our teaching excellence through academic CPD. Part of this role requires me to identify inspiring speakers (both internal and external) for our Talking about Teaching seminar series. My other responsibilities include the leadership of our professional recognition scheme and various awards which include our University Teaching Fellowship and Vice Chancellor Awards schemes.

I have experience of teaching in further education as well as in higher education, and for a period of time worked as an external verifier in IT and Business for Edexcel. Alongside my teaching experience, I have research experience as the research director for a number of large funded research projects, including 'FireWorks' focused on equality and diversity in the fire service and an EU-funded collaborative project looking at mobile learning.

My multi-disciplinary background has convinced me that good teaching practice is transferable across disciplines, and therefore we can all learn a lot from each other.
