Live outdoor event will celebrate 700 years of migration to city
Dr Jeannette Baxter (Senior Lecturer, English Literature) is currently acting as lead researcher on a project to celebrate 700 years of migration to Norwich.
This show will be performed across 11 locations in Norwich, including at the Whiffler Theatre, Norwich Castle, as part of the Lord Mayor’s celebrations in July.
Jeannette’s role has seen her draw together a community of local researchers from many different fields to research migration to the city. This research will become the creative material for the show.
Come Yew In! is funded by Town Close Estate Charity, Norwich, and is expected to reach over 6,000 people during its lifespan. The team also hope to perform it at Latitude, one of the biggest arts and music festivals in the UK.
