Thank you for your interest in ARU. We are a modern, globally engaged university that is built upon outstanding regional roots. We’re focused on delivering our new strategy Designing our Future 2017-2026, 'transforming lives through innovative, inclusive and entrepreneurial education and research'.
At around 34,000 students, our strong and diverse taught and research student population, talented and committed staff and excellent range of diverse collaborative partnerships puts us in an excellent position to respond to the various challenges facing the sector and to continue to develop and thrive as an outstanding anchor institution in our region.
As the recently appointed Deputy Vice Chancellor (Research and Innovation), I have the responsibility to develop and deliver our current, exciting, Research and Innovation Strategy, and for developing its successor to launch in 2022. I am delighted to have the opportunity to be able to recruit to two newly established senior leadership roles, Deputy Dean for Research and Innovation.
The successful appointees will provide effective academic leadership alongside two existing role holders. They will be supported by the ARU Dean of the Doctoral School and a team of professional support staff. Together we will further develop our research with impact environment, transform our engagement with industry and other external stakeholders, and position ARU for sustained growth, development and impact regionally, nationally and internationally.
If you have the necessary academic and professional credibility, experience and commitment to a collegiate way of working, I welcome your application. This is an exciting time to join ARU, and I look forward to welcoming and to working with the successful candidates.
Professor Yvonne Barnett
Deputy Vice Chancellor (Research & Innovation)
