A joint venture between Anglia Ruskin University and Peterborough Regional College, the University Centre Peterborough project construction started in January 2009 and was completed on 28 September 2009.
This smooth lined, futuristic building houses teaching and self-directed learning spaces, flexible open access areas and Students' Union facilities. The completely glazed façade provides a great 'al fresco' feeling to the internal social spaces.
The open foyer has a suspended 100-person lecture theatre with break-out space, open access PCs and a smart social venue to complement the teaching rooms and quieter study areas. A new Costa café has opened near the entrance of the foyer.
